Expressing "Akebono," the dawn, with its sense of new expectations, this stunning timepiece is inspired by the morning twilight, as the sky brightens with the sunrise. The three-dimensional, gloss coated, multi-layered dial, in rich gradated sapphire blue, includes rose gold accents to suggest the first glimmers of sun, as does the sharp sunray-like form of the markers and second hand. With date display and LumiBrite hands and markers, the dial also features the Presage Sharp-Edged Series' Asanoha hemp-leaf motif, a symbol of growth and prosperity dating to the Heian Period (794-1185 AD).
