PROSPEX 1968 DIVER’S MODERN RE-INTERPRETATION SLA073

1968 Diver’s Modern Re-interpretation. Designed for those who treat life as the ultimate adventure, the Seiko Prospex line meets every challenge with technological excellence and style. Part of a rich legacy of innovation in high-intensity timekeeping, Prospex continues to celebrate a long history of sports watch excellence with re-creations and re-interpretations of landmark achievements. A streamlined and updated re-interpretation of Seiko’s landmark 1968 diver’s watch, this extraordinary timepiece has been inspired by the dangerous, yet compelling, world of undersea cave diving, complete with special features designed to enhance safety for intrepid divers. The unique patterning and gradation of the light teal blue dial evoke the magnificent underwater cave formations as illuminated by the diver’s light. While the hands, markers and 12 o’clock marker on the black uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel all offer LumiBrite coating, the glowing color is different on the minute hand and the bezel to ease critical elapsed time measurement during these hazardous dives. In addition, there is deeper knurling on both the bezel edge and the screwdown crown for ease of use. For improved legibility, the dual-curved sapphire crystal features anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. Following ISO standards for scuba diving to depths of up to 200 meters, this exceptional timepiece is powered by the 26-jewel 8L35 automatic mechanical movement, hand-assembled at the Shizukuishi watch studio to provide the enhanced torque necessary for a diver’s watch, along with manual winding capability, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. Crafted of stainless steel with super-hard coating, this rugged and superbly functional watch also includes a date calendar, secure screwdown caseback, and a tri-fold push button release clasp with secure lock and extender. Packaged in a collectors’ box. 200m Water Resistant

Such a wonderful experience. It was my husband and my 16 year wedding anniversary on the day we walked into the store. We weren’t expecting to find a beautiful band with my taste and in our budget. However, the owner and his son Sterling were very helpful and patient. Sterling has excellent taste and such a calm demeanor. We really felt comfortable and the owner gave us a great deal for our anniversary I will never forget this experience. They even fixed my engagement ring by replacing a stone that had originally fallen out and they also tightened all the prongs because the main diamond was wobbling in danger of coming loose. They did this all same day within a couple hours while I looked for my anniversary band! This meant so much to me because I hadn’t been able to wear my engagement ring for many years and I thought it would be super expensive to fix. The last time I went to a fast fix place and paid close to $1,500. They did a terrible job and replacing one of the small diamonds that had fallen out with a dark dirty dark diamond that didn’t match the rest of the diamonds on the band of my engagement ring…After that I was so disappointed and discouraged to take my ring again somewhere to fix it. But Dejuan’s totally took care of me and I paid under $200 to replace the small dirty diamond and fix the damage the fax fix place caused. To walk out on my 16 year wedding anniversary finally able to wear my engagement ring after so many years of keeping it in the drawer… ugh I can’t tell you how sooo thankful I am for good honest people and professionals! Highly recommend and we will forever now be lifelong customers! Enjoyed the conversation and real genuine connection from both! Rebecca and David Samudio
