Applied numerals are hand-painted in white enamel as counterpoint to the jet black Ergal aluminum alloy inserts on both sides of the hand polished stainless steel case. A hand-sewn calfskin and rubber strap recalls the linear tread pattern on vintage tires as it disappears into the lug-less Vanguard chassis. Visible through the sapphire back, the timekeeping engine of choice is a finely tuned and painstakingly embellished FM 2536-SCDT automatic movement that looks as good as it works.
