The signature tonneau-shaped case is crafted from hand polished stainless steel or solid ceramic, offering durability on top of fine styling. The dial showcases applique’ numerals meticulously hand-painted and hand applied on a dial enhanced with 25 layers of translucent enamel over the marine-inspired color-base. Across the entire Mariner series an “E” & “W” replace the “3” & “9” as another subtle reminder of the nautical nature of this fine timepiece. At the heart of the Vanguard Mariner is an all-Swiss automatic winding mechanical movement decorated, assembled, regulated and installed entirely at the Franck Muller Watchland facility in Genthod Switzerland. Complementing the theme of the case is a hand-sewn alligator or caoutchouc rubber strap with folding steel buckle that seamlessly submerges into the lug-less hull of this hydrodynamic design.
